Boys ECNL Info Forum To Be Held Jan 29th
by posted 01/19/2017

Boys ECNL

Many organizations believe buying other clubs is better but we believe developing is better. ALBERTSON FURY is the most successful club in New York State and with 60 teams and an expansive training program the club is delighted to announce the latest advancement for the BOYS side of our elite programs

ALBERTSON FURY will be one of the founding members of the BOYS ECNL and now the boys have the same fabulous forum as the girls,

"We are tremendously excited to be part of this new venture. We think you get extraordinary performances from players when you have extraordinary expectations. Having a great training environment is one part but having competitive games against top clubs every week is the ultimate process for our players. The Boys ECNL will be a fantastic avenue for our players and we look forward to making it a league where training, high level games and college age exposure is of paramount importance.” commented Paul Riley, Albertson Fury Director of Coaching.

The initial members of the Boys ECNL Northeast Conference include many of the top boys programs across the region:

Albertson Fury (NY), Baltimore Celtic (MD), Connecticut FC (CT), Continental FC (PA), East Meadow (NY), FC Boston (MA), FC Bucks (PA), FC Stars (MA), FSA (CT), Maryland United (MD), Match Fit (NJ), Penn Fusion (PA), World Class (NJ)

The Northeast Conference will feature competition in 5 age groups: 04, 03, 02, 01, and 00/99's. Teams will be placed in geographical divisions, playing approximately 14-16 conference games, with an additional 3-6 games in cross-conference regular season events depending on age group. Scheduling will allow for players to participate in high school soccer, and clubs will be empowered to play the style and system of play they deem best for their players.

For twenty years ALBERTSON has been the gold standard for boys soccer on Long Island and this new forum will allow LI top boys players to play in an environment which is elite, competitive, and built around a revolutionary training environment embracing the latest technological advancesin the game.

Too many clubs put results ahead of process but we truly believe that results come because of the process.

Through patience, resilience and perseverance we can mold our teams and offer individual players an opportunity to challenge the status quo and improve their performance.

The BOYS ECNL program will offer massive college exposure, highly competitive game schedule, ability to play high school ball, exceptional training program and twenty years of experience of the college recruiting system.

Market Centers and player identification sessions will start soon as ALBERTSON FURY builds the top BOYS ECNL program in Long Island and New York State.

Please join us for a complete Boys ECNL informational forum and presentation on January 29th at the Melville Marriott (1350 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, NY 11735) in Melville at 5pm.

NPL
by AlbertsonSoccerClub posted 12/03/2013

ABOUT:

The NPL was created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by extending developmental principles espoused by U.S. Soccer into more age groups and clubs, by linking competition with player development and identification platforms, and by providing meaningful weekly competition culminating in the NPL Finals.

NPLs are independent leagues, unified under one national competition platform, and based on a common technical framework designed to improve long-term player development. The NPL provides a platform:

  • focused on long-term player development;

  • for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios;

  • that allows players to be scouted and evaluated by U.S. Soccer National Staff and Technical Advisors;

  • that is designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs; and
  • that provides an avenue for qualification for the NPL Champions Cup.

EXECUTING US CLUB SOCCER’S 10-YEAR VISION:

The NPL is an important component of US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision to refine the landscape for competitive youth soccer. This vision recognizes that:
  • Properly-structured youth soccer clubs are the vehicle through which player development occurs in the United States.
  • Clubs should play in leagues that provide meaningful games, allow establishment of the proper training-to-game ratio, and eliminate calendar congestion.
  • NPLs, as well as the best clubs, should be integrated in US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program, include Player Development Programs (PDPs) in select local markets, and work closely with U.S. Soccer staff regarding player identification, and player and coach development.

SHOWCASES:

Beginning in March 2014, the NPL will include an annual NPL Showcase to bring teams from NPLs across the country to one site for intra-league competition and player showcasing. The 2014 NPL Showcase will include U-16, U-17, and U-18 boys age groups and will take place at Heritage Park in suburban Las Vegas, Nev.

NPL FINALS:

The targeted destination for all NPL teams, and the culminating event each season, is the NPL Finals (formerly known as the NPL Champions Cup), where NPL national champions are determined. The NPL Finals feature qualifiers in U-13 through U-18 boys and girls age groups from every NPL across the country in a true “champions league” competition.
